Premier Chalet Construction
This one's just been completed for a new construction company in the French Alps specialising in building eco-friendly luxury chalets with sustainable materials. The client wanted a symbol that would be instantly recognizable and reflect the 4 most important aspects of their business: Sustainability, Construction/ Fabrication, Alpine Environment, High Standard (professionalism/classiness). The shapes layered within each other represent different elements of the alpine environment. The house/ chalet shape sits comfortably within this environment and the clean line work and colourway combine to portray the intended image of the client.
Kea Systems
A Kea is a native New Zealand parrot, a mischievious green bird with a shock of red and orange feathers under it's wing. This company chose to use 'Kea' for it's company name and brand. The resulting logo uses a simplified Kea bird and muted colours to reflect Kea Systems' corporate standing, a gestural red feather creating attention and liveliness - the touch of innovation and invention that Kea Systems wanted to portray.
HQT - High Quality Training
HQT provide training courses in the Nursing sector. The logo needed to incorporate the letters HQT' with the full length version of the name. The idea of a figure moving upwards and opening a door was developed to symbolise what HQT could do for nurses looking to advance their careers. Carefull attention was paid to the figure so that it had a non-distinguishable sex as of course these days nurses can come from either sex.
Le Vert Hotel
This 'concept' based hotel promotes an active lifestyle and action sports, and the brand needed to reflect this. rocketbug was the ideal branding specialist to team up with and establish a dynamic and vibrant concept for this innovative hotel business. For the logo an icon was created to incorporate the 'V' with mountain-like shapes. The clean lines and sharp angles along with the slight asymmetrical shapes all add to the feeling of movement and action. The logo was kept extremely simple because of it's use on everything from business cards to vans and large banners. Another consideration was to make the design a 'one colour' job - the various tones of green derived from the same colour - making print production of any kind a lot less expensive.
JKChamonix
This accommodation provider in the french alps came to rocketbug for the creation of a strong and memorable brand. With an eye on the future expansion of the business, the client wanted a logo that could broadly be associated with any 'mountain based' activity or service. A simple yet striking mountain icon was created to work as part of the logo or on it's own on any type of media from t-shirts to vans.
Visual Engineering Technologies
Visual Engineering is a specialist design and manufacture facility offering the smallest and most tightly integrated remote camera solutions for all broadcast and professional security needs. They needed a logo with a symbol that they could easily use on all of their products. The letters 'VE' were chosen and merged together to create a stylish symbol with 'precision engineered' aesthetic that could be easily etched onto steel and glass.
Sublime Dining
This high quality catering company operates across the French Alps, St Tropez and London. A logo was requested to portray ideas of luxury quality, service, attention to detail, fine foods, taste. However the client didn't want it to be all too serious.... Food is also supposed to be enjoyable and fun, sometimes even exhilarating. The fresh sweeping lines and lovely balance between the swirling green 'S' and the appropriate and decorative font of 'DINING' satisfied the clients appetite for a suitable logo.
Elevation 1904
The new owners of this space have turned what was a 'dead' brasserie in a busy ski-town into a busy, stylish and hip bar and brasserie. The brief was tricky...a logo needed to be created which was attractive to all potential clientele..."don't put the old locals off with anything too funky, but make it sexy enough to bring in the holiday makers..." A Parisian caberet theme was established...
Chalet Academy
Chalet Academy offer cheffing courses and focus specifically on preparing people for a ski season as a chef. Some classic symbols of cooking were created as insignia for a shield which gives this logo a solid, traditional and professional feel, offset with modern line-work and colouring to create a trustworthy and fun brand - all keywords mentioned in the clients brief.
ChamStyle

Created for an events production company involved in creating events for snowboarding, skating and other action sports. This logo reflects these pursuits conveying movement through the letter shapes and the dynamic jumping 'E' shape. The logo needed to work on any media including large banners, T-shirts, flyers, and letterheads. It's also a 'one colour' print job making it more practical and less expensive to print.
Tardis
The Tardis Bar is hip and funky bar with a young crowd. They are known for playing lots of music and gigs which are on the cutting edge from electro beats and house to hip hop and drum and base. The logo needed to reflect this and be edgy but fun while also portraying energy and action, dancing and music. The crazy little dude's head has become an antenna that is receiving and transmitting as he hurtles along...
alps-rentals.com

alps-rentals.com specialises in providing accommodation in the Swiss & French Alps. After discussions with the client we decided that not only should the logo display what it is that alps-rentals do, it should also show what comes with it - mountain holidays, skiing and in general, happiness and happy people. The logo also needed to be very bold and clearly visible from a distance for branding on vans. This combination of fresh bright colours and bold black text suited the client's needs perfectly, and has broad appeal in a highly competitive market.
Nostalgic TV

Nostalgic TV is a London based production company specialising in the re-production of historically famous sporting events to DVD. A cartoony 'Ren & Stimpy' type logo was requested...
Smart CIC
As IT Solutions experts Smart CIC wanted a modern brand which clearly showed their areas of expertise. The client requested icons in the logo - one for each of the words in CIC.
A number of other logos were requested for some of SmartCIC's ancillary businesses. All of the logos needed to be part of a 'family' and therefore needed to have similar aesthetic traits and be recognised as part of the larger brand.
Check out the slideshow to see the other logos in the family.
Aerial Management Group

This logo needed to have corporate feel with an emphasis on engineering and communications industries. The symbol was designed to portray the idea of connection and networks, and there are also echoes of an electricity pylon with cables in the negative space. The client also provided us with images of one of the main component parts that they manufacture and this is illustrated within positive space of this simple symbol.
Le Napoleon

This restaurant/ bar cater for an upmarket crowd and the owners needed a logo to reflect this aswell as getting across other ideas such as "attention to detail, quality dining and food, warmth and trust..." The eye moves naturally over the design in between the 2 spots of colour from the delicately rendered 'N' to the french accent over the 'E' - the colour and the curves become expressions of this restaurant's finesse in service and food. A number of print designs were also commissioned for menus, business cards and promotional material.
Nova-Flo

The makers of this patented device requested a very simple and easily recognisable logo. The gradiated blue enclosed within a strong outer stroke gives the impression of water being contained, while the overall aesthetic speaks of a solid and tranquil reliability.
This product is also marketed and sold in America under the name 'Flowban'. A different approach was devised for the american market which you can see below.
Flowban

The makers of 'Nova-Flo' (see above) also sell their product in America under the name 'Flowban'. This different and more diverse market demanded a different approach to the logo. In close consultation with rocketbug a much more 'americanized' logo was created. Bold and contrasting colours and the use of the exclamation mark sign giving a much punchier feel. More of a 'holy crap - I've got a flood!!' type of thing... Adding to this we also devised a friendly mascot in the form of the good old rubber ducky!
Savage Sustainability

From the clients spec - "It needs to work on many levels - something primal, yet modern and hyper simple, and original. The connotations need to be modern, not too off base and a symbol of progress, emergence, newness...". This simple shape incorporates all of these ideas - there are also echoes of familiar shapes in both the negative and positive space - a leaf, a seedling, a wave. The vibrant gradient adds primal and fire aspects. Extending the brand into the website truly demonstrates it's effectiveness and the client was very happy with the 'global' feel of the final result.
Deluxe Transfers

The owners of Deluxe Transfers asked rocketbug to illustrate one their vehicles and include it in a logo design that reflected this company's status as a provider of high-end transfer services.
